For the Dieter Meier Collection of premium wines, we produce 2,000 limited edition bottles in collaboration with Argentina's most renowned oenologists.
Edition # 1 was produced with a special method called microvinification. Here, malbec grapes were handpicked and selected for their quality from exceptional vineyards in Vista Flores, a region known as the mecca for producing the best wines and healthiest vines in all of Argentina.
Then, the grapes are fermented for seven weeks in French oak barrels. In order to improve the extraction of the grape skins, the barrels are manually rolled back and forth five times per day. This method enables the juices to optimally combine with the wood from the oak.
After fermentation, the wine is pressed and filled back into the same barrels for 18 months of ageing. This method of microvinification is also used by well known chateaux in Bordeaux, and in Mendoza, we have achieved excellent results.
